This inspection was carried out on 4th October 2006.
CSCI has not published a star rating for this report, though using similar criteria we estimate that the report is Good. The way we rate inspection reports is consistent for all houses, though please be aware that this may be different from an official CSCI judgement.
The inspector made no statutory requirements on the home as a result of this inspection and there were no outstanding actions from the previous inspection report.

What the care home does well
The residents are cared for in a safe, well-maintained, homely environment by staff, who are aware of their needs. Care plans identify residents` needs in detail and this helps staff to provide consistent care. The staff team work well together and have established an excellent working relationship with the community health care teams and local GPs. The registered manager provides positive leadership to all staff. There is a good professional working relationship within the staff team. Communication between staff members is excellent. The home itself is maintained to a very high standard. Residents are enable to personalise bedrooms. Activities are varied and enjoyed by all residents.
What has improved since the last inspection?
At the last inspection no requirements were identified. The proprietors have carried out a considerable amount of work to improve the environment of the care home. The registered manager and staff continue to ensure that the National Minimum Standards are met and that residents are provided with appropriate care.
What the care home could do better:
The registered manager continues to ensure residents are satisfied with the quality of care being provided to them by the care home and that the National Minimum Standards continue to be met.
