What the care home does well

The service keeps excellent records which clearly set out the support residents need including their healthcare needs. The residents are involved in community based work and leisure activities and have interesting lifestyles that include personal choices and hobbies. Residents are asked for their views, such as what food to have, and have regular meetings. They also have information about the service in folders in their rooms. People involved with the service, such as social workers and relatives, are asked about their views of the service and they make positive comments about the service. Mr and Mrs Turner help ensure residents are protected, such as making sure their money is handled properly.

What has improved since the last inspection?

Mr and Mrs Turner have produced a report, which sets out the progress they have made with things like training and includes the views of residents and others. A separate record of healthcare contacts is kept which makes it easier to see important information about the health and well-being of each resident.
