Annual Service Review Page 3 of 6 Service update since the last key inspection or annual service review: What did we do for this annual service review? We looked at all the information that we have received, or asked for, since the last key inspection was performed on the 11th March 2009. This included: The Annual Quality Assurance Assessment (AQAA) that was sent to us by the service. The AQAA is a self assessment that focuses on how well outcomes are being met for service users. It also gave us some numerical information about the service. Ten service user surveys and five staff surveys surveys which were returned to us prior to performing the Annual Service Review. Information we have about how the service has managed any complaints if applicable. What the service has told us about things that have happened in the service, these are called notifications and are a legal requirement. The previous key inspection and the results of any other visits that we have made to the service in the last 12 months. What other people have told us about the service. What has this told us about the service? The registered manager sent us their Annual Quality Assurance Assessment (AQAA) when we asked for it. It was clear and gave us all the information we asked for. We looked at the information in the AQAA and our judgement is that the home continues to provide a good service and that they know what further improvements they need to make. We have not received any complaints about the service in the last twelve months and the registered manager told us that the home has not received any complaints within the last twelve months. Information provided within the service user surveys told us that service users received enough information about the home before they moved in. Nine service users told us that they know who to speak to if they were not happy and one service user did not comment. Six service users said they know how to make a complaint but four service users said they did not. We asked service users if staff are available when needed, seven service users stated Always, two service users stated usually and one service user stated Sometimes. When we asked service users what the home does well, comments included, They try to please us in every way, The caring for residents is excellent, Everything, I am Annual Service Review Page 4 of 6 more than satisfied and Care with love. The Have your Say pre inspection questionnaire asked staff Are their enough staff to meet the individual needs of the service users, two members of staff stated Always and three members of staff stated Usually.
