Annual Service Review Page 3 of 6 Service update since the last key inspection or annual service review: What did we do for this annual service review? We looked at the information that we have received, or asked for since the last Key Inspection. This included : The Annual Quality Assessments (AQAA) that was sent to us by the service. The AQAA is a self assessment that focuses on how well outcomes are being met for the people using the service. It also gives us numerical information about the service. We asked some of the people who live at Innes House about what it was like to live there, we also asked some of the staff for their views about the service. We have received four completed surveys from the people who live there and three from staff who work there. Information about how the service manages complaints. What the service has told us about the things that have happened in the service, these are called notifications and are a legal requirement. The previous Key inspection and the results of other visits that we have made to the service in the last 12 months. Relevant information from other organisations. What other people have told us about the service. What has this told us about the service? The service sent us their AQAA when we asked for it. It was clear and gave us the information that we asked for. We looked at the information in the AQAA and our judgement is that the service continues to provide a good service to the people who use it. It also shows that the service continues to seek the views of the people who use the service and to make improvements to the service delivery. Some of the people who live at Innes House have told us what it is like to live there, all of their responses were favourable specific comments included one of my carers who looks after my pills for me and packs them when I am going home Its all right here, I like my bedroom, I also like the music group and pottery sessions My Key Person helps me and takes me shopping Annual Service Review Page 4 of 6 The people are nice here, the home is nice and tidy and we do nice things here The staff help me when I need it, I cant think of anything that they could do better, its nice here The staff told us what they thought about the service, all of their responses were favourable specific comments included I have worked at the home for many years, we have regular training courses that keep us up to date and help us meet the clients needs and preferences. The home is well run and the clients needs are met. Independent living and activities is fully achieved. The feeling that I get from the clients is that they are happy. They are involved in every step of their daily lives and can make choices. There is always room for improvements but I cant think of anything that needs to be improved. Innes House is a well run home, we look after the residents social, medical and other needs We care for our clients well, each person is an individual. Clients and their families are informed of any changes we listen to the clients and their families I cant think of anything that could be improved all of the clients that are living here are very happy. What are we going to do as a result of this annual service review? The next inspection of this service will be based on the Fees and frequency Regulations 2007 and the assessment of risk of the service. Further clarity will become evident as the new registration and inspection system under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 is confirmed. However we can inspect the service at any time if we have concerns about the quality of the service or the safety of the people who use the service.
