What the care home does well The service cares very well for the three people who live there. It provides a homely stable atmosphere with no staff changes since the last inspection visit. This means that the staff know the residents very well and are able to anticipate, understand and meet their needs very well. They are fully aware of when there are any changes in the health and welfare of the residents, and they act appropriately. We saw that there was a very relaxed atmosphere in the home and that the interaction between the staff and the residents promoted their dignity and independence. The residents like to garden and they grow some of their own vegetables. All the residents had person centered care plans and had an extensive personal history. The resident`s families are welcomed into the home and they play a large part in the lives of the residents. The residents had just come back from a week`s holiday at the South Coast and I was told by a resident that they had a very good time. What the care home could do better: All the residents in the home are fully ambulant and the staff can recognise changes in their health and welfare. There were no issues in relation to the care of the residents however the home needs to be careful to ensure that all training is up to date. Random inspection report
