Care Homes for Older People Page 3 of 8 What we found: At this visit we found that the registered manager had left the home, and that a new deputy manager was in post, that there was an acting manager and that the recruitment process to find a new manager was in hand. We checked to see if the requirements from our last inspections in June and December 2008 were met. No new person has been admitted to the home, so it has not been possible to test if the two requirements made about assessment have been met. Improvements have been made to the pre-admission process so that people can expect their needs to be properly assessed before moving into the home. We found that the risk assessments, medication and care planning procedures have been improved and the requirements we made have been met. We also found that the requirement we made about the recruitment process has been met.
