If yes, what have they been: Date of last key inspection: Date of last annual service review (if applicable): Brief description of the service 7a Grant Terrace is a three storey end of terrace building situated in a quiet residential area with good access to public transport near Manor House station. The home has easy access to a wide range of local facilities and amenities. The home is registered to accommodate four adults and is suitable for individuals with forensic psychiatric histories. The home offers 24 hour support with a trained psychiatric nurse on site. Staff at the home support residents to regain and retain independent living skills that will enable them to move into supported accommodation. All referrals to the Annual Service Review Page 2 of 5 No 1 3 1 0 2 0 0 8 home are as a result of Care Programme Approach meetings and the home does not accept emergency referrals. The home offers both short-term and long-term placements. Fees are currently £850-£1000 per week and vary according to assessed needs. Annual Service Review Page 3 of 5 Service update since the last key inspection or annual service review: What did we do for this annual service review? This Annual Service Review (ASR) uses information gathered from information available to us over the last year to review the performance of the agency since the last key inspection, taking into account any correspondence including notifications and the outcome of the previous key inspection. What has this told us about the service? The last key inspection on 13/10/09 found to be providing an excellent service at the last inspection. It found the service did well as follows: A good admissions and needs assessment process is in place ensuring peoples needs are comprehensively identified prior to and during their placement. Individual needs and choices are reflected in the delivery of service provision. The home has a strong theoretical basis that effectively supports the work of staff. People in the home are provided with a theraputic and stable environment where they have opportunities to progress and develop. Detailed support plans and risk assessments identify individual needs and are used to enhance the support given to each individual in their placement. Staff work in a way that is enabling, encouraging and supportive, providing people with opportunities to improve their mental state, thereby allowing them to grow in confidence and in their independence. Concerns or complaints are listened to and promptly dealt with to ensure that individuals are satisfied with their service. Staff have a good understanding of the social, mental health and care needs of people living in the home and receive adequate supervision and training to support them. This is a home that is well led that is managed in the best interests of people using the service, who themselves can expect good to excellent outcomes in their service provision. We have not recieved any notifications, complaints or other information indicating that the quality of service has changed. What are we going to do as a result of this annual service review? The Care Quality Commission will continue to monitor activities linked to the home through information received by us via notifications, complaints or information from other people. As the service is rated excellent the service is not expected to have another inspection for another two years, though may be inspected earlier if the need arises. All key standards will be examined at the next key inspection where the rating of the service will be reviewed.
