What the care home does well

Residents have been supported for many years at the home and this has provided them with the stabilitity they needed and continue to need. They lead busy and eventful lives. The premises are suitable for their support needs. Residents are an integral part of the family in all respects. The registered providers maintain records of care and support as necessary for the benefit of both residents.

What the care home could do better:

Residents receive very good support. They continue to be satisfied about the lives they are assisted in leading. No recommendations were necessary as residents continue to be supported according to their changing needs.

Date of last inspection Brief description of the care home Kenderbrae provides care and support to adults with learning disabilities. It has registration for three service users. At present, two service users live at the home. Kenderbrae is located in a quiet residential area near the town of Chatham with local Care Homes for Adults (18-65 years) Page 2 of 7 Brief description of the care home amenities nearby. Accommodation consists of single bedrooms for each resident, two bathrooms, lounge, kitchen diner, conservatory and garden. Both residents discussed aspects of their lives and referred to issues that were important to them. Parts of the premises were visited. The AQAA subitted to us by the registered providers was read and parts of the framework referred to were discussed during the visit. The AQAA stated that no barriers to improvement were encountered in the past year.
