Annual Service Review Page 3 of 5 Service update since the last key inspection or annual service review: What did we do for this annual service review? We looked at all the information that we have received, or asked for, since the last key inspection or annual service review. This includes: The annual quality assurance assessment (AQAA) was completed in September 2009. The AQAA is a self-assessment that focuses on how well outcomes are being met for people using the service. We have taken into account what the service say about about how they managed any complaints; any notifications sent to us about significant incidents that have happened in the service and the outcome of the previous key inspection. What has this told us about the service? The last key inspection took place on 05th November 2008 where the service was given a Two Star Good rating. The service found this was a small, family run and homely environment. Residents enjoyed the opportunity to be involved with the providers young children and dogs and felt part of a family. The staff team were stable and formed good relationships with the residents. Overall individuals were safe and very satisfied with their service. One requirement was made to regularly monitor one individuals weight. The recently submitted AQAA states that the home has not received any complaints and that feedback from the residents is that the home continues to provide a good standard of service. Additionally the AQAA states the the home has been redecorated to a high standards; procedures are updated regularly and residents, their family and professionals have a say in the way the home is run. The Commission has not recieved any notifications or information to indicate a change in the quality of service provision. What are we going to do as a result of this annual service review? We will continue to monitor the service through any notifications, complaints and any other information received by the Commission. We will conduct Annual Service Reviews until the next key inspection which is due in 2011 in line with the service quality rating.
