What the care home does well
What has improved since the last inspection?
Staff have received training in medication and First Aid. Better checks are carried out of hot water temperatures and the environment is kept in good order.
What the care home could do better:
Care plans could be made more person centred and include clear goals for each individual. Daily records kept by staff could be improved to make sure they can be used to measure individual progress in achieving the goals set. Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) checks must be requested by the home for new care staff. Fire alarm checks must be carried out weekly.
