The building is made up of two houses which have been joined together and extended. The home is situated in a residential area of Mitcham with a small number of shops within a short walking distance. An unannounced visit was made to this service following information received regarding the number of staff available in the home on the morning of 23rd November 2009. We found that during this morning at some point neither of the two care staff who were due to be on duty were on the premises. People who use the service were being supported by the cook and two students from a local college.
