What the care home does well

This home provides the people living there with a variety of activities to take part in ranging from foreign holidays to trips to the local shops, group activities and those of a more individual nature. The residents` preferences are carefully established by the well motivated staff who provide the support for the individuals during these activities. Each of the residents bedrooms has been decorated and personalised to the taste of the individual occupant. Because the rest of the building and grounds are also well decorated and maintained this creates an overall feeling of homeliness throughout this service.

What has improved since the last inspection?

Since the last inspection a number of the staff have obtained an NVQ in care enabling them to more effectively meet the needs and wants of the service users.

What the care home could do better:

This is generally a well run home where the manager and the staff look toward improving the lives of the service users.
