What the care home does well
Cold Springs Park offers a very comfortable standard of accommodation, backed up by good quality personal and social care. The home is well managed, and the staff team is committed and well trained. All care staff either have or are working towards a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in care. Residents are enabled to make choices in their daily lives and there are ample opportunities for occupation and entertainment. The provision of meals is very good, and much enjoyed by the residents. Residents said, "the staff are so nice", "you`ve only to ring the bell and they come", and we can "do as we please here".
What has improved since the last inspection?
Since the last inspection the home has carried out a lot of redecoration, including 10 bedrooms, 10 en-suites, the two dining rooms, one lounge and to corridors. The kitchen flooring had also been replaced.
What the care home could do better:
There were no requirements or recommendation made as a result of this inspection. The home operators continue to listen to the views of residents, and monitor the quality of the service offered.
