The home is located in a quiet residential area. The nearest London underground station (Stonmore) is about four minutes drive from the home but there are bus routes quite close to the home. The home is well furnished with new sofas and a television set in the lounge. The kitchen is also well equipped. There are two single bedrooms, a toilet and a bath with a shower on the first floor. There is a nice garden at the back. The manager, who is also the owner, said that the home is flexible about the fees and residents will be charged according to their needs. We have been informed that the home has not started providing a service. The manager told us that he has been working hard to find residents by liaising with the local authority. Two care staff were present the at the home during our visit. all the necessary furniture and equipment were available at the home. The rooms were clean, tidy and bright. The manager showed us the homes terms and conditions of service and service users guide. These were all detailed with the necessary information to help new residents to make a decision about their possible admission to the home. There were care plan, risk assessment and daily record forms to be used when residents are admitted.
