This random inspection process culminated in a site visit to the service on the 4th August 2009. It commenced at 10:30 hours and concluded at 13.30 hours. The site visit was undertaken by Joseph Harris (Regulatory Inspector) and Andrea Leverett (Local Area Manager). The random inspection was conducted to determine the progress made by the home following requirements and recommendations made at the previous key unannounced inspection in May 2009. During the course of the site visit discussions were held with staff, service users and the service providers. Documentation was examined including individual plans of care including risk assessments, health and safety records, training information and documentation relating to the refurbishment of the home. A partial tour of the premises was undertaken viewing specific rooms identified for refurbishment. A discussion was also held with a visiting Physiotherapist.
