The property is located in Clappers Lane, Chobham, Surrey and accommodation is provided on two floors accessed by stairs. The home has eight single bedrooms and facilities include a kitchen, lounge, dining area, office, laundry, bathrooms and toilets. The random inspection was carried out by Ms Suzanne Magnier Regulation Inspector who arrived at the service at 07.30 and left at 10.30. The reason for the inspection was to follow up the compliance, by the service, following the two statutory notices served in December 2008 as a result of the requirements made during the key inspection on 23rd October 2008. The service was represented by an acting manager employed by Welmede to work in the home several days a week as part of the improvement plan for the service. In order to ensure residents health regarding nutition is promoted. 6 20 13.213.(4c) The home must ensure that 21/07/2008 arrangements, including training, are in place for the safe administration of medicines and ensure that residents are protected from harm or abuse with regard to medication practices in the home. Arrangements must be made 27/11/2008 for improved practice for the disposal of clinical waste and spread of infection in the home.
