We looked at all the information that we have received or asked for since the last key inspection or annual service review. This included: The annual quality assurance assessment AQAA that was sent to us by the service. The AQAA is a self-assessment that focuses on how well outcomes are being met for people using the service. It also gave us some numerical information about the service. Information we have about how the service has managed any complaints. What the service has told us about things that have happened in the service these are called notifications and are a legal requirement. Telephone contact was made with the home on the day of the Annual Service Review so as to clarify any changes to the service. The previous key inspection and the results of any other visits that we have made to the service in the last 12 months. What has this told us about the service? The AQAA was received and contains adequate information that is supported by a range of evidence. The AQAA lets us know about changes they have made and where they still need to make improvements. It shows clearly how they are going to do this. The data section of the AQAA is accurately and fully completed. Admissions are not made to the home until a full needs assessment has been undertaken and the home have confirmed in writing that they can meet the identified needs. For people who are self-funding and without a care management assessment, an experienced member of staff always undertakes an assessment. Trial visits are available.
