What did we do for this annual service review? The last Key Inspection at this service was carried out on 20/02/09 where the home was assessed as providing a two star GOOD service. We looked at all of the information that we have received, or asked for, since this last key inspection. This included: The annual quality assurance assessment (AQAA) that was sent to us by the service. The AQAA is a self-assessment that focuses on how well outcomes are being met for people who use the service. It also gave us some numerical information about the service. We looked at what the service has told us about things that have happened in the service. These are called notifications and are a legal requirement. We also looked at any information we have received about the service such as concerns, complaints and Safeguarding referrals. What has this told us about the service? The AQAA is comprehensive and provides us with detailed information about how the service meets the needs of people. The AQAA also tells us about the changes and improvements the service has made and how they intend to continue to improve and develop. The service continues to send notifications of deaths, untoward incidents and accidents resulting in seriuos injuries in the form of Regulation 37 reports. We have not been informed of any concerns about the service and we have not been made aware of any Safegaurding referrals in respect of the service since the last key Inspection. This tells us that the service is continuing to provide good outcomes for the people who use it. What are we going to do as a result of this annual service review? We are not going to change our inspection plan. However, we can inspect the service at any time if we have concerns about the quality of the service or the safety of the people using the service.
