The home is currently vacant and has undergone total refurbishment The renovated home now offers four en-suite bedrooms with a large lounge, dining room, office, bathrooms and kitchen There is a self-contained top floor flat plus several other rooms that could be used for various purposes The home has been rewired and there is also a new roof A new fire alarm system, intercom and telephone system have also been installed The Providers confirmed in writing to the CQC in June 2009 and confirmed again verbally in August 2009 that the home is vacant and that they are still proposing to re-open the home, but that a date is to be determined For the reasons highlighted above, it was not possible to assess any of the standards and therefore the service retains a quality rating of a 1 star adequate service A site visit was not undertaken for the purposes of this report An inspection will be carried out soon after the care home reopens What the care home does well: What they could do better: If you want to know what action the person responsible for this care home is taking following this report, you can contact them using the details set out on page 2 Care Homes for Older People Page 4 of 7 Are there any outstanding requirements from the last inspection?
