We found: The home has a system of planning and reviewing care, which reflects residents, wishes, aspirations and ensures residents needs are met within a risk management policy. However there needs to be more focus on the needs of residents with dementia. The social activities and the provision of varied and nutritious meals were well managed and reflected residents interests and choices but as before the needs of persons with dementia need to be given closer attention. The complaints procedure was satisfactory with evidence that residents feel their views will be acted upon The home has clear policies and procedures in place which ensures residents are protected from abuse. A safe, well maintained, clean and suitably furnished home is provided for residents which meets their needs. Residents needs are met by sufficient numbers of staff who are recruited and selected using a procedure designed to protect all residents. Thre is currently no registered manager.
