What the care home does well
This service is very good at supporting people through care planning and the way that care is offered. Everyone who lives here said that they were satisfied with the care and services they received. The staff have a very good knowledge of the people who live here and how their conditions affect them, and excellent outcomes are being consistently achieved. This service is well managed and the health and welfare of each person is well considered. The premises are homely, comfortable and well maintained. There are good relationships between the manager, the staff and the service users.
What has improved since the last inspection?
A new carpet has been provided for the hall, stairs and landing in the `core` house.
What the care home could do better:
Self-closing devices should be fitted to fire doors throughout the building. Tests to the fire detection and fire fighting equipment should be carried out and recorded at appropriate intervals. The carpet edging in one bedroom should be made safe. Dates of staff supervision sessions should be recorded.
