The home is situated in a quiet residential area, with easy access to shops, medical centre and public transport links to larger local shopping areas. Accommodation at the home is provided over two floors, with individual bedrooms, laundry area, lounge and kitchen/ dining area. There is also a wellmaintained garden to the rear and front of the property. Cherry Tree House has been registered with the CSCI since May 2005. The standards were not assessed on this occasion due to the home not planning to open until May 2006 and no residents currently accommodated at the home. A full inspection was carried out on 6th October 2005 and a copy of this report can be accessed from the CSCI. The owner and manager anticipate that residents will move to the home within the next six months, whereupon a full inspection will take place. Service users are assured that at the time of their death, staff will treat them and their family with care, sensitivity and respect. STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS This section sets out the actions, which must be taken so that the registered person/s meets the Care Standards Act 2000, Care Homes Regulations 2001 and the National Minimum Standards.
