An unannounced visit was carried out to the home on 11th November 2008 to look at the way the home has responded to the requirement that was made at the last inspection. The manager, Mrs Towers spent some time touring the home with the inspector and assisted in the process. She was also working as the nurse on the shift. Sufficient staff were on duty to meet the needs of the residents although there was some staff sickness some staff were covering the gaps. The residents on both of the units of the home were spoken to and were very complementary about the care they receive. The home was warm and welcoming, one visitor said that she felt that she was always made welcome and felt that their relative was well cared for. The tour of the premises found that the work to replace the conservatory had been completed and the area was pleasant and comfortable. The replacement of the fire doors was part of this rebuild. No additional requirements were identified at this inspection.
