Annual Service Review Page 3 of 5 Service update since the last key inspection or annual service review: What did we do for this annual service review? We looked at all the information we received or asked for since the last key inspection. This included the annual quality assurance assessment (AQAA) which the provider sent us. The AQAA is a self assessment tool that focuses on how well outcomes are being met for people living at Tixover Grange. It also gave us some numerical information about the service and information about how the providers have managed any complaints. We also looked at the notifications the providers sent to us since the last key inspection. Notifications are a legal requirement and the providers send us a notification about any event that potentially affects the wellbeing of people living at Tixover Grange. The previous key inspection (16/05/2007) and annual service review (02/09/2009) and any other visits we have made to the service in the last twelve months and any information we have received from other organizations about Tixover Grange. What has this told us about the service? The provider sent us their AQAA when we asked for it. The AQAA was clear and comprehensive and gave us detailed information about the service and the improvements the providers have made or are working towards. The providers have kept us informed about any changes or incidents that have occurred at Tixover Grange since the last twelve months and have responded professionally and appropriately at all times. The Care Quality Commission has not received any complaints about Tixover Grange since the last key inspection. The providers AQAA told us they had received two complaints through their internal complaints procedure, both complaints were investigated and upheld. On the basis of the information we have looked at, our opinion is that Tixover Grange is still providing an excellent service. What are we going to do as a result of this annual service review? We are not going to change our inspection plan and will carry out a key inspection by the 16th of May 2010. However, we can inspect the service at anytime if we have any concerns about the quality of the service or the safety of the people using it.
