Care Homes for Adults (18-65 years) Page 3 of 7 What we found:
We made a visit to this service because when the Annual Service Review for the home had been completed, two people living at the home had returned survey forms saying they would like to speak with an inspector. When we arrived at the home the two people who wanted to speak with us were out swimming with other people and staff from the home. We spoke with the owner of the home, Mrs Harris, who knew about the content of the survey forms as she had returned them to us, as she felt people had a right to express their views about the home, whatever they were. We looked at the care plans for the two people and found that they contained very good information on the care needs of the people and also gave good instructions to staff on how their needs should be met. We spoke to both people on their return from swimming. One person said that they had been unhappy when they had completed the form, but that they were more settled now and felt this may be due to the help of a new member of staff. The other person we spoke with said that they had just wanted to speak with someone to tell them how happy they were and how good everyone was to them.
