What the care home does well Service users were given information that would help them to understand their rights and responsibilities and they were able to decide how they spent their day. The individual care plan showed the care and support service users needed and they had been involved in decisions about their care. Medicines were managed safely and service users were given help to manage their own medicines. The complaints procedure was easy to understand and service users were able to talk to their support worker if they were unhappy. Staff had been taught how keep people safe from abuse and neglect. What the care home could do better: The service user guide and the contract need to clearly inform service users how the weekly shopping budget was managed and what was not included in the cost of the fee. Procedures needed to include the contact information for the local agencies that would be involved in any safeguarding alert. Random inspection report
