What did we do for this annual service review? The service sent us their annual quality assurance assessment when we asked for it. We sent survey forms to the people who use the service. We looked at other information sent to us such as notifications. We looked at changes to the registration of the service since it opened. We looked at how the service handled safeguarding alerts. We received four survey forms back from people who live in the service. What has this told us about the service? This information told us how they support people who use the service, how they work with other professionals and how they continue to develop the service. The annual quality assurance assessment told us that: - there is a quality assurance process in the home which seeks the views of the people living there are well as other professionals and relatives who are interested. Their views form the basis of the development of the service. - they tells us they have systems in place to support each persons health care needs. - They tell us that care plans have been developed in format and structure to ensure individuals can understand them. - they tell us they have improved the number of staff working in the home to ensure the wellbeing of people living there. People who live in the service tell us that they are able to participate in activities which interest them. They tell us that there is enough food, that the home is clean and that the staff are people they can talk to if they are worried. One person said they would like a pet and one person told us that they liked the activities in the home. Two people have moved into the service in the last twelve months. Of the sixteen staff employed to work in the home eight have a national vocational qualification at level two or above. What are we going to do as a result of this annual service review? We will not be undertaking a key inspection of this service. We will continue to review information we receive and may consider a site visit at any time.
