Care Homes for Older People Page 3 of 7 What we found: We undertook an unannounced site visit to the service. The purpose of this visit was to establish that the home is maintaining its excellent rating and also to check future compliance with the Heath and Social Care Act 2008. The home has consistently been rated as good and excellent, with the last key inspection awarding an excellent rating. Evidence gathered at this site visit including questionnaires returned to us from service users further evidenced that users of the service experienced it as excellent. We looked at the homes Statement of Purpose to establish that it accurately reflected the services that the home provided and the manner in which it provided them. This was found to be an accurate reflection. We spoke to the registered manager with regard to the homes future compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008. She was confident that the home would declare full compliance with all 16 outcomes. We went through the outcomes of the 2008 Act especially issues around safeguarding and safety and diversity and we were confident that the home was meeting and exceeding in these areas.
