Care Homes for Older People Page 3 of 7 What we found: We found that staff are getting residents up early in the morning without giving them a choice as to what time they want to get up and without recognising their preferred early morning routines as recorded in their care plans. We found that residents with specific care needs e.g. pressure sores or with a catheter in place are given appropriate care and that help and advice from relevant health professionals is sought as necessary. There was no evidence to suggest that there has been a high incidence of residents falling or having accidents at the home.
