What the care home does well

We saw that people looked relaxed and at ease with the manager, who obviously knew them well and chatted to them about events in their lives. We saw that other staff were attentive to people`s needs, and had a good rapport with people living at the home. Accident records are detailed, and we saw copies of completed notification forms about adverse events in the home. Care records are up to date and comprehensive, and show that the home seeks advice appropriately from health and social care professionals to ensure that people living at the home have the support they need. A social care professional praised the quality of the care provided by the home when we spoke to them after the inspection. On the last key inspection, we made a requirement to notify the Commission when there have been adverse events in the home. Since the last key inspection, we have been notified about adverse events with an appropriate level of detail.

What the care home could do better:

We will check the staff training requirement that we made on the last key inspection when we next complete a key inspection.
