It is an annual review prepared by CQC after examining previous reports and information from the provider. At the time of this report, CQC judged the service to be Good.
The inspector made no statutory requirements on the home as a result of this inspection
and there were no outstanding actions from the previous inspection report.

The home is situated close to local amenities and shops. It is a two storey purpose built home. Passenger lifts provide access to the first floor. The home offers a range of lounges and dining areas for service users and visitors. Annual Service Review Page 3 of 5 Service update since the last key inspection or annual service review:
What did we do for this annual service review? We examined the homes Annual Quality Assurance Assessment, which is the homes self-assessment of its performance to date. We looked at surveys that people who use the service and staff had completed and returned to us with their comments. We considered notifications made by the service and sent to us about significant events. We reviewed the findings of the last key inspection carried out in October 2008. What has this told us about the service? Manor Park continues to do well against most of the National Minimum Standards concerning Older People, in terms of positive outcomes for the people who use the service. People who use the service and their representatives say that they are happy living at Manor Park. Typical comments received include: The staff are very aware of residents needs...staff are very caring and supportive of both residents and their families. The home does well in looking after me and my medical care. I always receive the care and support I need. The home does well with its staff training and in meeting residents individual needs. The staff all work well as a team to maintain a good standard of care to residents and their families. The home has good professional relationships with external health and social care agencies. The service is well managed and there are good quality assurance systems in place, with support from external senior managers provided by Four Seasons Health Care. The home has a good staff team of well trained personnel, including registered nurses and care staff members. Most care staff have gained qualifications in Care at National Vocational Qualification level 2 or above, or are working towards the award. There are good staff induction and training programmes organised by the home. The home is working towards accreditation with both the Gold Standards Framework for end of life care and Four Seasons own PEARL standards (Positively Enriching and Enhancing Residents Lives). The personal care provided is good. What are we going to do as a result of this annual service review? The service is progressing well and its Quality Rating continues to be good. There is no intention to carry out a key inspection of Manor Park before October 2011.
