This inspection was carried out on 4th October 2006.

The inspector found there to be outstanding requirements from the previous inspection report but made no statutory requirements on the home.

What the care home does well
The home has a stable staff group with little change. Residents and visitors felt they knew the staff members well, and thought them friendly. Visitors said they were made welcome and offered refreshments. Residents said the owner/manager was a lovely person.
What has improved since the last inspection?
Since the last inspection a menu had been drawn up and records of the meals served had been maintained. Some staff had received training in safeguarding adults (abuse) and fire safety. Two staff attended fire warden training, and the fire log had been brought up to date. The exterior of the building and the fire escapes had been re-painted. Some staff supervision had commenced.
