What the care home does well

Residents told us they were well cared for by very good staff. We noted that residents looked clean and their clothes were clean and well pressed. There continues to be a good level of consultation with residents and they are offered choices. The improved environment has improved residents level of choice and privacy. The new building provides spacious quality accommodation for residents. The manager continues to strive for improvements. She ensures that care service are audited and analysis these to identify areas of improvement. Staff are fully involved in this process and contribute at all levels. There were very few concerns raised by residents. They said they were happy with the service provided.

What the care home could do better:

We were concerned that residents with some mental confusion could fall from the rooftop garden. This has been assessed when the garden was planned and suitable enclosures sourced. The manager stated that residents would be supervised in this area. We have asked for a formal risk assessment to be carried out.
