What did we do for this annual service review? We looked at how the home had performed over the last year. This took into account what the service had told us in their Annual Quality Assurance Assessment ( AQAA ). He has been put in touch with a peer group called My Life My Choice and has become involved in organising events in and around Banbury through the group. The same resident attends an arts group and will perform at the local Arts Center. Another resident has very limited communication skills. The home have developed for him a daily recording sheet which tracks the activities he has done during the day and how he has reacted to them. One to one sessions then take place using pictures to gain an understanding of his feelings around the activity. One resident is involved in the homes recruitment process and is encouraged to take an active part in all aspects of this process. The home promotes the individuals equality and diversity by ensuring that any beliefs are promoted and supported. residents are encouraged to be individuals and community involvement in a range of activities is promoted. Individuals choice of clothes and orientation is respected and encouraged. Age and gender activities are provided appropriate to the individuals needs and wants. The home offers a wide range of activities, staffing levels are good, the home is well maintained and provides a homely environment for residents.
