Care Homes for Adults (18-65 years) Page 3 of 8 What we found: The home last had a key inspection in April 2007 and at that time was rated a 3* service. this means that people who use the service experience excellent quality outcomes. This was an unannounced visit to the home made as part of a random inspection. The morning was spent speaking with three of the people who use the service, the manager and three members of staff, looking briefly at some written records and the medication system. We had a look around the home and one person showed us their bedroom. As part of this inspection, we asked the people who live at the home to fill in survey forms about their views of the service. Six people who live at the home responded very positively in their surveys. Everybody we spoke to agreed that they experience excellent outcomes. Six staff also sent surveys back to us providing very positive feedback about the home. The annual quality assurance assessment (AQAA) was sent to us by the manager. The AQAA is a self-assessment that focuses on how well outcomes are being met for people using the service. It also gave us some numerical information about the service. It was clear and gave us all the information we asked for. We looked at the information in the AQAA and our judgement is that the home is still providing an excellent service and that the manager knows what further improvements they need to make.
