We visited this home to follow up on immediate requirements that had been made as a result a key inspection visit made on 13 th July 09. These requirements were in relation to one individual at the home. The requirements were that the individual be provided with suitable bedroom accommodation, that is appropriately furnished, clean and free from odour. And, that a proper assessment be carried out in relation to the individuals ability to freely leave the home, and any decisions or agreements be recorded in the Care Plan. We spoke with a relative of the individual concerned and she confirmed that she was now satisfied with the accommodation provided. Also that she had participated in a review, and had discussed issues around going out and activities. The relative also confirmed that when she had visited she had seen her relative out in the garden, taking part in tasks such as weeding. We also spoke with Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) who had taken part in the review. The CPN was satisfied that that the manager understood the individuals complex needs, and that they working to meet them in an appropriate manner. When we visited the home we looked at the bedroom and found that the room was clean, tidy and good order. There was no smell or odour in the room. Work had started to fit an en-suite toilet facility. We also looked at the information about this individual, we found that changes had been made to the risk assessments reflecting the review that had occurred with the C.P.N.
