Annual Service Review Page 3 of 6 Service update since the last key inspection or annual service review: What did we do for this annual service review? We looked at all the information that we have received, or asked for, since the last key inspection. This included: The Annual Quality Assurance Assessment (AQAA) that was sent to us by the service. The AQAA is a self-assessment that focuses on how well outcomes are being met for people using the service. It also gave us some numerical and statistical information about the service. Information we have about the service has managed any complaints. What the service has told us about the things that have happened in the service, these are called notifications and are a legal requirement. The previous key inspection and the results of any other visits that we have made to the service in the last 12 months. Relevant information from other organisations. What other people have told us about the service. What has this told us about the service? The home returned their Annual Quality Assurance Assessment (AQAA) when we asked for it. The service had completed the AQAA in satisfactory detail and it provided all of the information that we asked for. It contained a summary of the aspects of the service that have been developed over the past 12 months and issues that they plan to improve over the coming year. We reviewed the information contained within the AQAA and it is our judgement that they continue to provide a good service for the people that they support. People who use the service have told us that they are happy with the support that they receive and the facilities in the home. One person said, I got nearly every day. Its a relaxed place to live and I can do as I please. Another person said, the food is good and we all get on well. At the last key inspection no requirements and two recommendations were made under the Care Standards Act 2000. The AQAA provides information stating that these issues have or are being addressed. We have received no complaints or concerns relating to the service over the last 12 months and no safeguarding vulnerable adults alerts have been reported as being raised in connection with the home since the last key inspection. The home continues to let us know about things that have happened since our last key inspection and they have shown that they have managed issues well. They work well Annual Service Review Page 4 of 6 with us and have shown us that their service continues to provide good outcomes for the people who use it. What are we going to do as a result of this annual service review? We are not going to change our inspection plan, and will do a key inspection by 25th July 2010. However we can inspect the service at any time if we have concerns about the quality of the service or the safety of the people using the service.
