The Chimes Care home provides residential care for up to 21 older people. It is situated close to the centre of St Annes, with leisure amenities and local shops close by. The home is on three floors and a passenger lift is in place. There are a number of aids and adaptations in place throughout the care home suitable for the age range and needs of residents living there. There are fifteen single rooms and three double rooms and at present ten bedrooms have en-suite facilities.

It is situated close to the centre of St Annes, with leisure amenities and local shops close by. The home is on three floors and a passenger lift is in place. Care Homes for Older People Page 3 of 7 What we found: A meeting took place on the 21st August. This meeting had been arranged to discuss, if there were any further developments since the meeting of the 14th August. Mrs and Mrs Brady, a representative from the Social Service Department, Phil McConnell CQC and other interested parties attended the meeting. The meeting was positive and assurances were given that people using the service will continue to receive a good quality service. At the present time there are 15 people living at The Chimes. A partial tour of the premises was carried out following the meeting, which included the kitchen. It was just before lunch, therefore it was quite busy. There were two cooks on duty and it was apparent that the kitchen is well maintained and organised, with a new cooker having been installed in the past week. The home is well maintained and decorated to a good standard. People were observed to be sitting in the lounges and preparing to go for lunch. The dining room was observed to have tables set and ready for people to have their lunches.
