The Commission visited the service and looked at all of the information that related to the safe guarding of adults and complaints. This included speaking to the people that live at the home and interviews with the management and care staff. We also looked at the safe guarding and complaints records that are held in the home. There had been no complaints or safe guarding referrals since the last inspection of the service. Staff employment records conformed that staff are only employed to work at the home after they have received the appropriate safety vetting including Criminal records Bureau (CRB) safety checks and references from previous employers. This helped to make sure that the staff are safe to work with the people that live at the home. Staff training records also supported the evidence that the staff receive training to help them to identify and report any allegations of abuse. Four service users live at the home and they all returned completed surveys to the Commission. These were all very positive in relation to the care and support that they receive at the home. Five members of staff returned surveys to the Commission. These all confirmed that they had received the appropriate safety vetting before they began to work at the home and stated that they are given good support and training. No complaints had been received by the service or the Commission since the last inspection. Two of the people that live at the home said they would know how to complain What the care home does well: What they could do better: If you want to know what action the person responsible for this care home is taking
