We saw significant improvements had occurred at the home and found that the new manager was keen to share what changes and improvements the staff team had made to date. We saw evidence to show that all requirements had either been met or systems had been introduced to ensure they will be met as new people arrive at the home. The new manager was clear in what needed to be done and what has been achieved so far. There was a shortfall where some more detailed bed rail risk assessments had not been performed. The manager was clear why this had occurred but showed that the risk to people who use the service had been substantially reduced because of the purchase of new adjustable beds. The manager told us she was waiting for the criminal records bureau to send an enhanced check form. The manager gave assurances that her application to become registered would be submitted once this had been received and completed.
