What the care home does well

The service continues to offer a pleasant homely accommodation that is focussed on providing a friendly comfortably family atmosphere for people live in, that the residents enjoy.

What the care home could do better:

Ensure that their records for the planning and delivery of care and the management of the service equal the quality of the care and support they provide to the people living in the home. This is to ensure that all staff can provide a consist quality of service that meets the choices, wishes and needs of they people they support.

The home is located in a rural location some 5 miles from the City of Oxford. All rooms are single, two of which have en suite facilities. There are pleasant gardens and an outdoor swimming pool for residents use during the summer months. The weekly charges for this service range from £600.00 to £650.00 per week Care Homes for Older People Page 3 of 7 What we found: We found that the service has listened and acted upon the concerns about the management of the medications in the home and the practices for the safe storage of items that should be kept under Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations, 1988. The have also ensured that the missing information in regard to employment records are in place and have prepared new recruitment practices for when they next need to obtain additions to their staff team. They have ammended information kept in the home to support that the service has a responsible person leading and managing the service on a daily basis.
